Amphi Festival 2012: More News!

Counting Amphi Festival among the reasons to look forward to 2012, organizers are happy to announce that the preparations – not for Christmas but at Christmas time – for the 11th edition of the Orkus Open Air Amphi Festival of Jul 21-22 next year are as thick as if the festival were to start tomorrow! And what preparations they are, ladies and gentlemen!

New bands are added to the lineup, with more than 20 confirmed acts to date. The Sisters of Mercy, And One, Eisbrecher, Blutengel, Project Pitchfork, Combichrist, Camouflage, Front Line Assembly, DAF, Mono Inc., Corvux Corax, Nachtmahr, 18 Summers, Coppelius, [:SITD:], Solar Fake, Haujobb, Assemblage 23, Seabound, Aesthetic Perfection, A Life Divided, [X]-RX, Tyske Ludder, Whispers in the Shadows, Eisenfunk, Schoengeist, Lord of the Lost. Also, Dr. Mark Benecke, the expert forensic specialist is going to take you in the fascinating and bizarre world of forensic biology.

ElectriXmas on Dec-17 in Malmo

The 10th edition of ElectriXmas will take place on Dec-17 in Malmo’s Inkonst, a well-known venue for artistic activities. This year’s edition confirms performances from Tyske Ludder, Necro Facility and Hocico. You  can read about past edition rosters here.

ElectriXmas is an annual alternative electronic music event. Based in Malmo, Swedens 3rd largest city, the festival usually scheduled for the middle of December. It’s the perfect round off to the year and the years most anticipated electronic Xmas party! There is no dresscode for ElectriXmas but the majority of visitors commonly dress according to the synth subcultures: synth, industrial, ebm, goth, cyberpunk, steampunk etc. Regardless of your style we encourage you to dress up to make it an evening not to be forgotten!

As usual tickets are available in advance via online booking here. The last two years have sold out in record time, so if you don’t want to be left standing out in the cold with no party to go to then buy your ticket in good time!

Sinner’s Day 2011 in Hasselt, Belgium on Oct-30!

E-tropolis Festival 2011 – Rotersand show cancelled / [:SITD:] playing instead!

On 3rd September 2011 the second E-tropolis Festival will take place at the Columbia compound in Berlin. Few days before the festival, we are sorry to inform you about a recent change in the lineup. Due to health issues, Rotersand had to step back from the festival lineup. Though the band would have loved to play the festival, they are very sad not being able to perform. Please read their following statement:

“We are sorry to announce that we needed to cancel our show at the E-tropolis-Festival in Berlin on Sep 3rd 2011. Rasc’s recovery process is going well, but playing a show would be too early for him. Nordstern Festival 2011 – Venues, Schedule and How to Get There

Nordstern Festival 2011 – the first edition is Hamburg’s own festival devoted to the scenes of electro, industrial and dark music in a diverse lineup of 13 live acts over the weekend of 08&09-July, 2011. Below you will find updated information about the festival, the lineup, and how to get to the two enchanting venues of the festival: Markthalle and Stadtpark.

Markthalle

Address: Markthalle, Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, Klosterwall 11, 20095 Hamburg. How to get there: by public transport, take subway line U1, stop at: Steinstrasse.

Markthalle – Hamburg (event center at the main train station) will host on Friday, July-08 the following festival program:  Doors open: 18:00hrs; shows start at: 19:00hrs.  19:00hrs: Slave Republic; 19:40: Architect; 20:25: Klangstabil; 21:15: Empiron; 22:15: Frozen Plasma; 23:10: Sono.

Stadtpark

Address: Freilichtbühne, Stadtpark Hamburg, Saarlandstraße 71 (Ecke Jahnring), 22303 Hamburg. How to get there: by public transport, take subway line U3, stop at Saarlandstrasse or Borgweg. Alternatively train (S-bahn) lines S1/S11 stop at Alte Woehr. Buses E17, 108, 113, 118, 179 or 217 are good options, too.

Stadtpark – Hamburg (open-air stage) will host on Saturday, July-09 the following festival program: Doors open: 13:30, shows start at: 14:30hrs. 14:30hrs: Blitzmaschine; 15:00hrs: Absurd Minds, 15:45hrs: ASCII Disko; 16:50hrs: Diorama; 17:55hrs: Combichrist; 19:10hrs: IAMX; 20:30hrs: VNV Nation.

Amphi Festival Sold Out. Again!

Amphi Festival sold-out again! / Mandatory reservation of emergency box office tickets!

Due to a sensational demand the Amphi Festival is sold out weeks in advance, for the third time since 2008. All submitted orders will be shipped after payment. Above that, there are no more tickets for the Amphi Festival 2011 available in advance booking.

We kept back a small allotment of box-office tickets, to make sure nobody has to take the trip to Cologne in vain. We put up an online reservation form, through which you can place your mandatory reservation for box office tickets at http://www.amphi-festival.de/2011/kartenreservierung.html. Tickets are reserved for the increased box office price.

In relation to this please beware of black market dealers and faked tickets which will surely appear in the next couple of weeks. For visitors with faked tickets access to the festival ground will not be granted. (more…)

KINETIK DEFINITION (KINETIC) :

The kinetic energy (also called in the old writings live viva, or sharp force) is the energy which a body because of its movement has. The kinetic energy of a body is equal to work necessary to make pass says it body of the rest to its current rotation and translatory movement.

It is Guillaume d’ Ockham (1280-1349) who introduced, in 1323, the difference between what is called the dynamic movement (that we generate) and the kinetic movement (generated by interactions, of which collisions).*

Nordstern Festival News 08- and 09-July: News!

Liebe Electrofans,

mit dem E-tropolis Festival feierten in diesem Jahr über 3500 Besucher ein mitreißendes Electro-Event, dessen internationale Top-Besetzung für Begeisterung und ausgelassene Stimmung auf dem Berliner Columbiagelände sorgte.

Nach dem gelungenen Einstand 2010 wird es auch im kommenden Jahr wieder ein E-tropolis Festival in Berlin geben. Am 03. September 2011 erwartet Euch erneut ein hochklassiges Musikprogramm, das neben angesagten Blockbuster-Acts auch wieder einige Überraschungen bereit hält.
