Berlin is trembling again!

It is always a pleasure for us at Viva Music to bring to our readers the latest news from our partners in Germany. This time you will find below the last details about the E-tropolis Festival in Berlin. The one-day festival will take place on September 3. Excellent lineup and exquisite venue! Here is the message from the organizer:

Dear festival fan,

What the Amphi Festival is among the open-air festivals that is the E-tropolis for the electro scene. On September 3^rd 2011 the motto at the Columbia Compound in Berlin is once again “darker, harder, louder” with the best the EBM, industrial, electro and synth-pop scenes have to offer.

No question, the top-notch programme impresses with 15 top acts and a nightly after-show party. Alongside the Berlin based formations FORMALIN, SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS as well as the splatter-disco-maniacs AGONOIZE the current lineup offers international flair inter alia with the Swedish EBM-banger SPETSNAZ, the legendary FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY from Canada or the Belgian industrial steam hammer SUICIDE COMMANDO who recently rocked the Amphi Festival into ground.

The trademark of the E-tropolis Festival is to still pull the ace of spades even when the atmosphere already reached its peak. So rejoice with us on this year´s headliner, known best for being the undisputed kings of the electronic dance floor, VNV NATION.

But this is only the beginning. Get your ears blown through by XOTOX and FABRIK C, look forward to an insane show of SANTA HATES YOU (feat. 7th electro music show on Bucuresti radio (98.3 fm) on Sunday, Mar 6, 2011

Vivi and Adara were guests of the extremely popular “A la chart de week-end”, with Bogdan Crutescu show on Radio Bucuresti (98.3 FM) last Sunday. We are grateful to Bogdan Crutescu for his invitation, and we appreciate his support.

Man, we had a blast! Adara wore her neon light cyberlox in the studio! We turned off the light, so we had Adara’s hair as sole source of light. We danced, we laughed, we sang along, we spoke about the great industrial scene and we promised to carry on with this show even when the odds are against us ;)!

We played 11 great electro/industrial tracks between 7:30 and 8:00 pm and 8:30 and 9:00 pm (GMT+2). We talked to our friends from all over the world on facebook, while they were watching us on http://www.bucurestifm.ro/. The livestream works very well! This is vv’s Facebook page that she’s on during the show.

All Royalties on playing the tracks go to the record companies of each band.

it is incredible how fast time passes! Just about one year ago the E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL emerged with its first official press release and 7 months later over 3500 attendants celebrated a spectacular electro festival at the Columbia compound in Berlin. On 3^rd September 2011 the E-TROPOLIS FESTIVAL returns to Berlin, and the line-up already promises to landmark an exciting highlight of the forthcoming festival season. Dear Electrofans,

On 3^rd September 2011 it is time again for a blast of electronic sounds! With the E‑tropolis Festival at the Columbia Compound Berlin another strictly electronic line-up of contemporary blockbuster-acts and interesting surprises is about to unfurl. While artists like WELLE: ERDBALL, HAUJOBB, ASCII.DISKO, FADERHEAD and FABRIK C have already been confirmed, we dragged the entertainment-screw even further in and again recruited three exciting acts, including the headliner:

New bands confirmed at the E-tropolis Festival 2011:

After a breathtaking show at this year´s Amphi Festival in Cologne the choice for the next E-tropolis headliner was not too difficult. The undisputed kings of the alternative dancefloor, VNV NATION, are picking it up again! As headliner of the E-tropolis Festival 2011 Ronan Harris and Mark Jackson secured the privilege of the finale grande, turning the C-Hall into a boiling witches’ cauldron.

Also new to the line-up: Berlin´s local heroes SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS as well as „Pitchfork“-Peter Spilles and Jinxy with their feisty project SANTA HATES YOU.

NACHTMAHR however cancelled their previously confirmed participation. We are sorry for they are not going to play. Meanwhile efforts have been initiated to find you a worthy replacement soon.

Liebe Electrofans,

mit dem E-tropolis Festival feierten in diesem Jahr über 3500 Besucher ein mitreißendes Electro-Event, dessen internationale Top-Besetzung für Begeisterung und ausgelassene Stimmung auf dem Berliner Columbiagelände sorgte.

Nach dem gelungenen Einstand 2010 wird es auch im kommenden Jahr wieder ein E-tropolis Festival in Berlin geben. Am 03. September 2011 erwartet Euch erneut ein hochklassiges Musikprogramm, das neben angesagten Blockbuster-Acts auch wieder einige Überraschungen bereit hält.
