Lord of the Lost New Album Out April-01!

„We Are The Lost!“ With said battle cry of a song to kick off the new album, the Hamburg-based Dark-Alternative-Metal- sextet, fronted by charismatic singer Chris „The Lord“ Harms, has created a veritable anthem for itself. And what about the often-feared “difficult second album”-syndrome?

Read Viva Music’s review of the Lord of the Lost debut album, “Fearshere.

Antagony” feels like nothing of the sort. Quite the contrary: everything is bigger, more versatile, catchier and more coherent. The band builds upon the debut album’s foundation stones of Gothic, Metal and electronics, propels this versatile genre-mix to a wholly new level and manages to create a thrilling concept album that embeds the everlasting conflict of the constant lure of the abysses humanity has to face versus the perfidious cleanliness of religious endeavour into an array of smashing tunes. And, don’t you worry: “Antagony” rocks just as massively as its predecessor “Fears!” The irresistible interplay of dark atmosphere, aggressive guitar riff-walls, fat electronics, sex and glamour has turned out significantly more intense, this time around. The advance single “Sex On Legs”, inspired by the sweet sin of a femme fatale, is a perfect example, although it is only a small puzzle piece of the entire epos. Lord Of The Lost: Straight to your heart and straight in your face!  (more…)

Ad Inferna New Album Out April-26!

April-26 is the date announced by Nilaihah Records for a new release from Ad Inferna. Eight months after their latest, “DSM“, their new album, entitled “There Is No Cure” goes, according to side-line.com into “much darker and more club-oriented material”. A special appearances from ex-Ashbury Heights Kari Berg and the usual masterful mastering of Vasi Vallis (of Frozen Plasma and Reaper fame) and of Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil and Komor Kommando member) promise an interesting new album that puts next to the core of new Ad Inferna productions a plethora of remixes from Reaper, Alien Vampire, Inline Sex Terror, Terrolokaust, and others.

Reviews from early prelisteners of the album, as well as the official tracklist and the networking links for Ad Inferna.

Ad Inferna have reached the next level, bringing their typical sound to perfection – and mixer Vasi Vallis has done a verygood job!” –Kolja Trelle aka SOMAN

It’s an extremely interesting album, one of the most entertaining I’ve heard for a long time. It’s rare for songs to work as well in headphones as well as on the dancefloor in a club but these absolutely does. This album must be successful.” – Magnus Kalnins aka COLONY 5

Influenced by themselves, their life, their experiences, their hopes, they don’t even try to copy other bands but created their own, unique sound. This is very rare to find those days, as the copy & paste generation has entered the music market. Ad Inferna‘s tracks have this special mix of feelings. Harsh/Emotional, Violent/Peaceful, Scary/Hopeful. I had the pleasure to prelisten to “There is no cure” and I have to say, that this album was an inspiring experience in many ways for me. More powerful than DSM, more angry than DSM, very club oriented but still very emotional in its own way. I don’t know where the guys take their ideas from but their source of creativity seems to be unfailing. Unique!” – Vasi Vallis aka Frozen

Centhron New Album Release on April 01!

Centhron was created in Winter 2001. It started with an electronic intimacy between Elmar Schmidt (Voice + Synth + Programming) and Jörg Herrmann (Progamming) which resulted into the first Demo “Melek Taus” in 2002, as Centhron did not want to arrive without a recording medium being the support act on a feindflug concert.

As this demo became rather successful Centhron decided to record a complete album to give it a try in the market. The album „Lichtsucher“ (2003) exeeded all expectations! DAC Dj Bullet Nr.1, fairly represented in the DUC Charts, Zillo Sampler and several requests and congratulations from all over Europe. And all this even without a label!

Gigs in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium and Italy have been rocked together with Suicide Commando, SITD, Kiew, Xotox, Agonoize, Reaper, Psyclon Nine, Grendel, Soman and many more. Every time the live perfomance has been improved which resulted in positive feedbacks up to waves of exitement.  (more…)

Fractured ‘Beneath the Ashes’ Album Review

Earlier this March, FRACTURED’s official site released a couple of B-side tracks prior to the release of “Beneath the Ashes”, their sophomore studio album. The B-side tracks, which FRACTURED’s Nick Gorman called “a bit incomplete”, are ever since unavailable on the site: a re-release, after the thick of enthusiasm caused by the new album release wears off, is scheduled for late 2011.

The B-side tracks, a coveted memorabilia for FRACTURED fans already hailed a great album preview: ‘Beneath the Ashes” is indeed a masterpiece, and VIVA MUSIC is happy to shortlist it for an album of the year nomination on our site darkwave.ro. “Beneath the Ashes” comprises 12 tracks and was dually released by Metropolis in the Americas and Dependent for Europe on March-25. And One – Tanzomat Album Review by Viva Music

“He who loves AND ONE because it sounds like AND ONE, AND ONE shall he get”.

(Steve Naghavi, hell-zone.de interview, 2005)

If dance were a science, what we would need today is scientists that split the atom and tell us what dance really is: how we come to feel it, how we come to do it, and last but not least how we end up knowing how to dance. What with dance not being a science, but an art, and for at least half a century with the advent of popular clubs a very mass-oriented one, it feels sometimes that an album such as AND ONE’s “Tanzomat” (double disc, out on Mar-04, 2011 with Out Of Line) is a cleansing process of the all bad rap of a dance you were owned with in your club life cycle.

In an epoch that gives less and less airtime to quality dance music, because known beats yield more than hidden gems of experiment do, AND ONE figures out a satisfying concept that probably should propel more than one band and more than one audience. If a thing such as the “Tanzomat” they imagine existed, it would be a wonderful and mighty thing: just like a jukebox that is intended for moves, not for tunes, it would be packed with pure potential, that of sending well-choreographed twitches in the right muscles, making you move along to beats you’ve known, but never tried out.

Tyske Ludder “Diaspora” – release date March 25, 2011

TYSKE LUDDER is an institution!

There are only a few Electro bands from the 90s that were able to stage their comeback with such overwhelming success. But TYSKE LUDDER did it back in 2006! The band is very active among their fans – loads of live performances (including the famous “Zuckergrufties” at Blackfield Festival 2010), 70.000 MySpace followers and rank 4th at google-search!

After they had re-released all of their cult albums from the 90s, TYSKE LUDDER managed to raise the bar with their great releases “Sojus”, “SCIENTific technOLOGY” and “Anonymous”.

And again – the new album “Diaspora” continues the story of success of „Anonymous”.

Modern Electro sounds combined with Old School elements and pumping beats underline TYSKE LUDDER’s distinctive vocals, which are accompanied by intelligent soundscapes.

Thematically, the album deals with the central topic “Diaspora” which means “to be scattered”. And it is not just about the situation of Jewish people in history – TYSKE LUDDER deal with the situation of ethnic minorities in our society in general.

Tracks like “Der androgyne Held”, “Eugenix”, “Wallfahrt” or “Abgesang” will definitely become the new TYSKE LUDDER anthems.

As special bonus, the exclusive first edition, strictly limited to 888 copies, will contain a powerful cover version of Tilt’s classic “Merciless”!

8th electro music show on Bucuresti radio (98.3 fm) on Sunday, Mar 20, 2011

We are so proud of this! Viva Music is the only promoter in the world to make it happen! We have an exclusive electro/industrial music show every other Sunday on BUCURESTI FM (98.3), Romanian national radio station. We make history here in Bucharest, Romania!

Laur, Vivi and Adara were guests of the extremely popular A la chart de week-end, with Bogdan Crutescu show on Radio Bucuresti (98.3 FM) last Sunday. We are grateful to Bogdan Crutescu for his invitation, and we appreciate his support. Bogdan is a declared fan of electro/industrial music now!

We played 9 great electro/industrial tracks between 7:30 and 8:00 pm and 8:30 and 9:00 pm (GMT+2). We talked to our friends from all over the world on facebook, while they were watching us on http://www.bucurestifm.ro/. The livestream works very well!

Take a look at the Facebook event feedback: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=170179639698832. A memorable comment came from one of our listeners from the US, Mark Roberts: ”I am amazed there is a Electro-Industrial show on any FM station, it’s a rarity. In the US, it seems at best it can only be done on college or high school radio stations.”

All Royalties on playing the tracks go to the record companies of each band.

This was the playlist, weep if you missed it!

8th show playlist, March 20, 2011:

Solitary Experiments feat Agonoize – Counterpart two
Aesthetic Perfection – The ones
Kirlian Camera – Heldenplatz (mission walhalla ix)
Faderhead – Tzdv
Slave Republic – Truth or dare
