On December 8th, 1980, the day John Lennon was shot was also the day that ATTRITION played their first ever show, a fledgling post punk line up of vocals, guitar, bass and drums played a short set at the Belgrade venue in Coventry, England.  30 years on the venue might no longer be there, but ATTRITION are stronger than ever.

“We are celebrating our 30 years with a definitive best of collection. “Dreamtime Collectors” – a 16 track CD album, featuring many rare versions of ATTRITION classics and a cover designed by Russian artist and film maker Edward 209 , out now through US label Metropolis records, and we have copies available to buy direct from our website.”

ATTRITION also plan many a show for their anniversary tour in 2011, joined on stage by the wonderful Alexys Becerra of INERTIA as both vocals and electronic percussion. So far the following shows are confirmed: December 11th 2010 – the Slimelight, London, England * April 1st 2011 – Shadowdaze festival at Whitby, England * June 3rd 2011 – Avant garde, Ottawa, Canada * June 23rd-25th 2011 – Woodgothic festival, São Thomé das Letras , Brazil * July 7th – 10th – Finland festival – tba * August 26-28th 2011 – Pray Silence festival, Lisbon, Portugal * other dates to be announced.
