II. E-tropolis Festival 2011 – Pressemitteilung:

Liebe Electrofans,

mit dem E-tropolis Festival feierten in diesem Jahr über 3500 Besucher ein mitreißendes Electro-Event, dessen internationale Top-Besetzung für Begeisterung und ausgelassene Stimmung auf dem Berliner Columbiagelände sorgte.

Nach dem gelungenen Einstand 2010 wird es auch im kommenden Jahr wieder ein E-tropolis Festival in Berlin geben. Am 03. September 2011 erwartet Euch erneut ein hochklassiges Musikprogramm, das neben angesagten Blockbuster-Acts auch wieder einige Überraschungen bereit hält.

Interviu: Kwoon

Salutari! Avand in vedere ca aceasta este primul nostru interviu, spune-mi cate ceva despre KWOON, conceptul vostru muzical, si daca exista o legatura intre numele trupei si muzica insasi?
KWOON este un concept ce mixeaza muzica visatoare si diferite povestiri, scopul este de a crea muzica trippy si totodata simpla, in cel mai bun mod posibil. De obicei,vraja are loc. Pasagerul nostru (a se citi: ascultatorul) este doar dus pe numeroase meleaguri. Noi incercam sa le stabilim undeva in departare, in afara oricarui timp.

Mai exact, ce v-a atras sa formati aceasta trupa? Gusturi comune sau doar dorinta de a canta impreuna? Sau e ceva mai mult?
Gusturile muzicale ce le-am impartasit, si acest mod poetic si probabil ambitios de a reda muzica. Ne doream ceva mai mult decat o alta trupa Rock amuzanta.

V-a luat ceva timp pana sa lansati primul vostru album, “Tales and Dreams”. De ce?
Primul album a fost proiectul propriu al lui Sandy: el a realizat toate partile de chitara si bass si inregistrarile, el a creat programarile de sintetizator si tobe, un proces intr-adevar lung. Al doilea a fost tot munca lui Sandy, dar intemeiat pe instrumente “reale”si executate de trupa.

A venit insa timpul pentru o schimbare si iata ca Tomas Pettersson, liderul trupei, a acceptat oferta gigantului Out Of Line Records, pentru a lansa, nu peste mult timp, cel mai lucrat si inspirat album din istorie, “Songs 4 Hate & Devotion”.

Killing Joke: Absolute Dissent: to be released on September 27th

On their 30^th anniversary, Killing Joke delight their fans with the release of a new ingenious material, “Absolute Dissent”, on Spinefarm Records UK, put together in London, Spain & Prague. The album features 12 tracks, entirely produced by the band themselves and engineered & mixed by Clive Goddard. “Absolute Dissent” will be available worldwide from 27th September.

It is for the first time in 28 years since the original line-up, consisting of emblematical front man Jaz Coleman, guitarist Geordie Walker, bassist Youth and drummer Paul Ferguson, have worked together on a record: “We have survived equipment being hi-jacked, tapes being withheld, nervous breakdowns, family bereavements, blood lettings, and a host of other challenges of Biblical proportions,” comments Youth. “But we are now at the final ascent, and I have to say it’s one of the greatest albums I have ever had the privilege to be involved with… EVER! I have been living and breathing it for over four months now, and I’m still jaw-droopingly amazed at its power & beauty…”

In tune with the season, the AUTUMN BALL FESTIVAL 2010 on 22. October 2010 is literally up to blow your mind with the perfect line-up for a stormy autumn night:

Together with the electro-rockers OOMPH! from Wolfsburg, who signed in as headliners, nobody less than the “devil” himself announced his appearance, just about to twist around the audience with his irresistible TANZWUT. In the eye of the storm, ideal for an evening with red wine and candle light, QNTAL are adding an extra amount of dark mediaeval romanticism, garnished with moody and mystical electronica, to warm the audience from the cold breath of the German horror-rockers DER FLUCH (The Grudge). Amphi Festival 2010 review: Day 1

AMPHI FESTIVAL in Cologne, Germany is the smartest and most convenient festival I have ever attended. It was obvious on July 24 and 25, 2010 that the organizer had definitely worked very hard to make all the 16,000 participants feel entertained and satisfied.

The clout of this festival was made of: the participants (amazing crowd of amazing dancers and party people, donning wonderful outfits – sometimes the audience were better dressed than the band members), the organization, the venue (amazing view of the Rhine, beach bar and lounge, small and large places to sit down, terraces and benches, in the shade or in the sun, vegetation everywhere). The location gives you the feeling of an all inclusive holiday club with another 16,000 people who are also enjoying themselves to the max.

Dsm, the new release from Ad Inferna

Although it’s been less than a year since the release of “Trance:N:Dance”, AD INFERNA sharpen their tone, compared to the prior releases, and are ready to present you with a new material – “DSM” (Jul-27, 2010), which is co-produced and mastered by Vasi Vallis (Frozen Plasma, Reaper, NamNambulu). “DSM” is a full electro record, featureing 10 tracks plus 3 remixes from Cellmond, Suicidal Romance and Distatix.

This time AD INFERNA employ a much more industrial and aggressive musical edge, compared to their previous album, where the listener could find an electro-EBM vibe with metal influences, backed by guitars and female vocals. 4/4 beats, repetitive sequencer lines, clean vocals with reverb or echo effects – are all elements that make up a typical industrial landscape. The female vocals, so far gothic metal type, are served this time in a much sexier mix.

Noblesse Oblige was formed in London, 2004 by French actress/singer/songwriter Valerie Renay and German musician/producer Sebastian Lee Philipp. Their debut album Privilege Entails Responsibility is considered one of the classics of the Independent Electro underground scene. After moving to Berlin in 2007, the band released their second album In Exile to much critical acclaim. For 2010, Noblesse Oblige releases its third album Malady, an occult concept album that cites the visual mysticism of Kenneth Anger, Aleister Crowley’s storytelling, and the morbid melancholy of Christina Rossetti’s poetry. The album was initiated by the bands’ involvement in Robert Pacitti’s 2009 London Spill Festival Tarot Deck project, for which Noblesse Oblige (in collaboration with photographer Manuel Vason) were asked to visualize their own interpretation of The Lovers Major Arcana card. Malady blends world music sounds, pop kitsch and new wave theatricality to create a unique musical landscape.
